The Evening

The arrival of radio and television transformed Quebecers evenings in the 20^th century. Gathered around the radio set or in front of the television screen, families cheer on their favourite team, are fascinated by the lives of fictional heroes, and keep up with current affairs both national and international. In fact, whether you pay attention or not, the sounds made by these devices almost invariably make up the background noise of an evening at home.
