The Workday
The soundtrack of a workday greatly varies from one job to the next, from one time to another. Nevertheless, the sounds that go along with daily tasks set the pace at work, be it the rolling of the paper press, the typewriter’s clicking, the bells chiming at the door of a store, or the rhythmic rumble of a harvester thresher. Immersed in the sounds of their environment, workers all lend an ear to hear the signal that will end the workday.
